Angel Fire Fire Department Practices Helicopter Training, Help Prevent Fires, And Seeks Residents’ Input
Firefighters from Angel Fire, Eagle Nest and the Moreno Valley went through helicopter training last month. You might have noticed if you were in Angel Fire checking out properties for sale. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department and the Bernalillo County Fire Department brought two helicopters for air operations preparing for fighting wildfires. In all, 14 firefighters trained. Wildfire training happens routinely, but these firefighters became more experienced with utilizing the advantage of helicopters in April.
Angel Fire Fire Department Offers Fire Extinguisher Training
When not in training or putting out fires, the Angel Fire Fire Department works to prevent them. They offer education programs to teach fire safety and prevention to children, local business people and seniors. Did you know they even offer fire extinguisher training to businesses? They teach about the various types of extinguishers and how and when to use them. Plus, those attending the class can get practical experience using portable fire extinguishers too!

Also, the Angel Fire Fire Department seeks residents’ opinions regarding natural hazards within the Village of Angel Fire.
