How To Cancel Your New Mexico Voter Registration
How do you cancel your New Mexico voter registration? Well, that depends on the scenario. Are you moving to another county within New Mexico? Are you moving out of state? Do you just want to cancel your voter registration for another reason?
If you have moved to a new county in New Mexico from a county in New Mexico, you don’t even have to cancel your old voter registration. You just submit a new voter registration form with your new address to your new county clerk. The new county’s clerk will transfer your voter registration. You don’t need to even bother cancelling your old registration.
If you have relocated outside of New Mexico permanently, you should cancel your voter registration. Fill out the New Mexico Voter Registration Cancellation Form then mail it to the Secretary of State in New Mexico. If you are still living in New Mexico, but just want to cancel your voter registration for some other reason, that is your right. Use the same form as you would if you were moving out of state. Either way, print out the form and mail the completed form to the Secretary of State in New Mexico.
