Make Sure Your Moving Company Is Licensed!
Don’t trust your family heirlooms with just any moving company. Make sure they’re licensed. Otherwise, you’re better off just asking friends to move your furniture with you. At least people you know would feel bad if they damaged a family heirloom or costly piece of furniture. Don’t ever hire a moving company that isn’t licensed. Ask them for their license number. If they are licensed, they will have no problems providing you with it.
An unlicensed moving company probably doesn’t have insurance either! Most importantly though, you’re more likely to get quality labor and care if the company is licensed. So, ask them to give you their license number! Now, if you’re moving into New Mexico from another state, be sure to check the moving companies Department of Transportation license number.
