The Village of Angel Fire implemented a Mass Notification System through Colfax County Emergency Management. It’s an enhanced emergency notification system. It lets residents living in the Village of Angel Fire receive calls should an emergency arise using numbers in the 911 database automatically. If you prefer notification in another way, like to a cell phone, the new system lets you enroll that number for free.
What Contact Information Works With The New Mass Notification System
With the new Mass Notification System, you can enter a variety of contact methods. For example, enroll yourself for notifications sent to your:
- Cell phone
- Text device
- Email address
- Fax number
- Work phone line
You’ll receive notifications in the event of the following emergencies:
- Amber alerts
- Missing endangered adults
- Flooding
- Wildfire
- Natural gas leaks
- Severe weather
You’ll even receive notifications in the even of the following important situations:
- Road closures
- School closures and delays
- Broken water lines
- Power outages
- Local government closures and delays
